Batino 101
Do you know where Batino is?
Like most Filipinos, Batino would be the least known place in Laguna a person would know. Even people from Laguna wouldn’t even know a clue where exactly it is or how to go there. Here’s an introduction on how to go to Batino and what will you see there.
Batino is a barangay (district or area) in Calamba City in the province of Laguna in the Philippines. Not much is known about this place except for the fact that it is an industrial area where the Calamba Premiere Industrial Park is situated and is home for factories and plants of companies like Samsung, Avon, and Nestle.
Here is a pic of the Nestle Plant in Batino
The fastest way to come to Batino is via the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) through the CPIP Batino Exit (just right after Mayapa/Canlubang Exit; and before the exit of Batangas). You can also take a tricycle ride from Mayapa where most buses and jeepneys drop off and pick up passengers. Another way is via Liana’s, the mall in Parian, Calamba City where there is a tricycle station beside it fetching rides to Batino passing through barangays Lawa and Prinza.
Coming from the SLEX you will come upon an abandoned toll gate.
And a big rotunda that welcomes you to the CPIP. Turning right will lead you to the Laguna Buenavista and Filinvest Ciudad De Calamba area. Going left on the other hand will lead you to the Liana’s Mall and the alternate route to Tagaytay City via the Tagaytay Highlands.
And oh, yes! there’s also a tricycle station going to and fro to different areas in the Batino area and adjacent barangays like Mayapa, Barandal, Prinza, Lawa and Parian.
By the way, I took the pictures of my sister while we were jogging early in the morning in Batino. All images were taken by my Sony Ericsson K610i camera phone.

thanks for introducing Batino. i work at avon industrial manufacturing inc and ive been searching images of it online but couldn’t find any. maybe i’ll just be the one to take shots. though i’m working in avon, i find samsung to have the best landscape.
btw, that “rotunda”, i find it cool, but those flagpoles i dunno why there’s no flag there.. i really wonder what’s the purpose of it.. i came from Rizal but i’m renting a boarding house in villa la prinza, prinza.. i guess Batino will start to be known by people since lots are working on companies found there.. i used to ask newly employed people from my work and i’m surprise to know that most of them came from far places like mine.. one of our QAs is from Isabela, and the other barcode encoder aside from me lives in Baguio..
thanks for the information! love hte photos! hehe
